Eyelid Surgery (blepharoplasty) is used to treat wrinkles and drooping eyelids by removal of excess skin. It is one of the most common plastic surgical procedures worldwide and also in Brazil. Certain factors such as stress, exposure to sunlight, cigarette smoke and pollution and age can all affect how our eyes and the area around it looks. Heavy eye bags, wrinkles and loose or sagging skin around the eyes can be ugly and make you look older than your actual age.

The surgeon usually remove excess skin on the eyelids to get the look of more young eyes. Eyelid surgery is usually a very simple procedure. There is a distinction between operations of the upper and lower eyelids, and both eyelids can be operated at the same time. The method involves removing excess skin, muscle and fat from the upper and lower eyelids.  Quite often, these people are also interested in having a facelift  during the same surgery and it is possible since it is only a matter of time the surgeon spend with the patient.
